Lyra Bio Sweet Potato . 1 kg
The Lyra variety recently received the community certification of Protected Geographical Indication (PGI), being an exclusive variety from the Coastal Coast of Southwest Alentejo.
The way of cultivation is the traditional one. The campaign begins with the preparation of the nursery, between January and March, and planting begins at the end of May and lasts until the end of June. Harvesting takes place, as a rule, in October, with a gestation period of about four months.
The Lyra variety, produced under these conditions, makes this potato the sweetest of all and when eaten raw it tastes like chestnuts. It is light yellow, harder than the other varieties, with less water, which contributes to better conservation than other varieties and, after being cooked or roasted, it maintains a more consistent structure than any other variety.
